Description

Designed as a round bilge, flush deck, cutter rig by Roger Marshall of Jamestown, RI,

Built in welded aluminum hull and deck built by Howdy Bailey of Norfolk, VA, Aluminum mast by Metalmast Marine of CT,

SS rigging by Rigging Loft in Fairhaven, MA,

Finishing interior woodwork by Brian B. ,

and fairing and painting by Brewers Wickford Cove.

 

48 feet overall, 39 feet at waterline, 14 feet beam, draft 7-4 feet,

 

32,000 pounds displacement, 9,000 lead ballast bulb in keel, hydraulic ram operated lift keel, draft 4foot keel up and 7 foot keel down.

 

Propulsion:  Yanmar, 55 HP, 2.75 reduction gear, Morse controls, 1.5 inch SS shaft, and Max feathering prop, and spare fixed blade prop, less than 150 hours

 

Sails: 945, sq. ft. by Mack sails, main with full battens, 135% genoa, and inner staysail with detachable inner stay.

 

Generator: Northern Lights 5 KW, less than 50 hours

 

Invertor: 2 KW Heart Interface, connected to 4 8-D batteries

 

Tank Capacities: 2-75 gallon fuel, and 2-75 gallon water, and 1-6 gallon waste

Steering:

2 station hydraulic by Capilinao, in cockpit with a 4’ diameter Edson wheel attached to an Edson pedestal, and in the pilothouse with a 2’ diameter wheel

 

Windows and Hatches: ½” lexan windows in the pilothouse, and 7-Lewmar hatches on the foredeck

 

Interior Layout form aft to forward:

            Lazarette with batteries, generator, invertor, and storage

            Pilothouse with steering station on stbd side, and nav station on port side, 2 helm seats on deck, and 2 pilot berths port and stbd., engine and fule tanks below.

            Lower cabins, C shaped galley on port, U shaped dinette on stbd

            Master stateroom on port side of keel well, and storage cabinets on stbds side of keel well, water tanks below berth and storage cabinet.

            Head with shower on stbd side, and storage cabinets on the port side,

            V-berth with storage below, then anchor locker

 

Hull exterior primed with AwlGrip epoxy, faired with West Epoxy and AwlGrip epoxy, primed further with AwlGrip and Petit epoxies, then finish painted with AwlGrip in whisper gray, with black strip. Topside finished painted with AwlGrip materhorn white.

 

Hull interior above waterline insulated with 2” of foam.

 

Vessel in excellent condition, however, I several components remain to the connected, as once I started sailing, I never stopped to finish the pressure water system, shower, autopilot, hydraulic pump to lift the keel, etc. I can complete these or you can complete them to your specifications. I have sailed the boat throughout southern New England, and I lived on it for several years through the winter at a local marina.
