Description

The "EL FUEGO", while built as a dedicated fireboat, has the versatility to be a pilot vessel, harbor patrol, dive-rescue, in addition to fire fighting duties. She has many possibly uses - Pilot Boat, Patrol Boat, Training Boat, and can be utilized for police work or mariners. She can operate in shallow water with her outdrive system. Well built with 1/4" schedule-586 marine aluminum. The current owner removed the centerline engine, and moved the engines back for balance.

She has been completely re-furbished, and is a fully fuctional fireboat. Her Hudson 60 hp. firepump produces 600 gallons per minute at 100 PSI, and feeds three monitors - one forward, two aft - with a 1/2" fire hose on the forward deck.

Her topsides have been painted with Awlgrip, and the bottom with three coats of Interlux barrier coat, and two coats of Trilux-33 bottom paint. The stern drives are painted with Trilux prop-dive antifouling paint. She cruises comfortably at 8 knots using oly 2.5 GPH at 1500 RPM. Her top speed is 19 knots.
